La Feniere, a lovely stone-built house, is situated at the foot of the pretty, medieval “perched” village of Seillans, nestling among the olive groves and vineyards of the Provencal countryside. It is just 20 minutes from Lac St Cassien, with its small boats and pedalos, 35 minutes from the famous town of Cannes and only one hour from Nice. There are many activities available in the region including dining in one of the superb restaurants, wine tasting, olive tasting, shopping at French towns and markets, and sunbathing and water sports by the Mediterranean. Picasso's works can be viewed in museums in Antibes and Nice, and the perfume houses of Grasse offer tours where visitors can see the perfumes being created.

La Feniere has a large, airy, open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with a high vaulted ceiling, wood burning fireplace, comfortable leather sofas, dining table and chairs and 2 sets of double patio doors which open onto the sunny terrace. At one end of this room is a new “American style” kitchen with granite work surfaces and breakfast bar, light oak floor and wall cupboards, 2 sinks, stainless steel American fridge/freezer with ice maker, drinks fridge, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.

Looking down over the living area is a galleried mezzanine study/4th bedroom, reached by wooden stairs from the main room.

This peaceful, sunny room, with views of the hills and village of Seillans, has a double futon sofa bed, and, although not totally enclosed, can be curtained off for privacy. There is a separate lavatory with washbasin attached to this room.

There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor, all leading off the main room. Two have king-sized beds and their own bathrooms (one with large shower cubicle and one with bath and shower over) and a further bedroom with 4 single 3ft divan beds. This room has an integral shower and washbasin and is ideal for children sharing a room. There is a separate lavatory off the main room in addition to those in the bathrooms.

Immediately outside is a sunny patio with a large table and chairs under a retractable awning, and a covered built-in BBQ – perfect for long lazy lunches or dinners. To the rear of the house is a superb swimming pool (12 x 6m) with a sun-terrace and sun loungers, securely protected by railings and a child-proof gate (which must be kept closed at all times, by French law). The sun stays on the pool all day. The large garden, which contains olive and fruit trees, is surrounded by a high hedge and is completely private. It has views of the village and the luminous hills beyond.

Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. The house is cleaned and beds are made up before arrival and after departure. Access to the house is not possible until after 4.00 pm on the day of arrival, and departure is by 10.00 am.

Bookings should be accompanied by a 10% deposit, with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival. If this is not paid, your accommodation may be re-let. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before your holiday there will be a charge of 50% of the full price. If you cancel less than 2 weeks before your holiday you will be liable for the full cost.
